Although he was of course familiar with the book, he was able to "always bawl over it". Hannes Hametner directed with a master's hand. Benjamin Ritter cut with a sense of timing that the Deutsche Bahn cannot keep up with.

As a theatre actor in the dramas of Shakespeare as well as at the side of Anke Engelke in "Ladykracher", Holger Stockhaus knows how to stage the drama of real life in all its facets. In this 4-CD version directed by Dicky Hank, he speaks the characters as fascinatingly different as if he were a whole ensemble. Listening to the Cologne dialect of Ben Breuer's Buddy Gregor alone, is a spectacle.

With a playing time of 69 minutes this short version fills the journey to the festival between two snack breaks. Not between two pee breaks, 'cause for that there is too much drinking on the way. Episodes like "Doing things with a Dixi" or "The 90s Chin-beard-guy" made it in the selection of the essential chapters. Comedian Simon Gosejohann reads chinbeardless, but in a good mood.

According the question, which stories to choose from the Christmas anthology in order to turn them into audioplays, the live performance of the speakers played a roll. In addition to the local author, Hans Rath and Horst Evers stepped in front of the mics to to read their stories in person as well. Mia Morgowski lets her novella, which fills the entire second CD, perform by Stefan Kaminski.

This live recording from the rustic Bindernagel bookstore in Butzbach shows the author in his element of intentional confusion. Like a good musician, he changes the studio versions of the pieces, improvises, loses himself on entertaining detours and reacts to the amused audience. A guidebook performed as cabaret stand-up, bookable today as the stageplay Pour Homme.

In a winter in Münster Oliver Uschmann as narrator and Tobias Mennemeyer as director and producer recorded the story unabridged in the studio Notaufnahme as a radioplay. Mice and dragons scurried through the corridors and the landscape of the inner cinema, suitable sounds were found. "Now it's Pixar's turn!" said Mennemeyer finally, thrilled by this action-packed fairy tale.
This performance of Wandelgermanen | Strolling Germanics at the bookstore Weiland at the Baltic Sea is the second big improv orgy next to Fehlermeldung | Error Message. Along the red thread of the barefoot people from Hohenlohe there are polemics on topics like pedagogy, door-to-door sales forces or the public radio fee. The linked clip is from another show, but shows the spirit of this recording.

Within the novel, Hartmut writes his Manifest für die Unvollkommenheit | Manifesto for Imperfection. In the real world Axel Bosse sings the appropriate protest song to the manifest. With Simon Jäger, Axel Prahl, Andreja Schneider and Klaus Dieter Klebsch (the voice of Dr. House), the circle of guests, who support Ingo Naujoks at the proclamation of the grumpy lifestyle, reaches a climax.

The third part of the Hui series was the first to be realized with Ingo Naujoks as the speaker. The actor with deep Bochum roots not only speaks Hartmut - he feels him in every fibre of his anarchistic soul he shares with the character. Together with director Dirk Kauffels he formed a harmonious duo for all three Patmos productions.

The second part was the first ever to be recorded on CD - and the only one in full and uncut version! Director Martin Propp moved the author to peak performance as a speaker in the Kreuzberg Phlexton Studio for four days. Axel Bosse plays Mario. Bela B. read the episode Notstand | Emergency from the first novel on a minidisc recorder as a bonus story shortly before he played an own concert in Münster.

It is fortunate that the first Hui novels fell into the last peak of physical audiobook production - otherwise there would only be downloads instead of the artful bundle of good recording, commenting preface, CDs with a squeaky yellow Hui sign on them and detailed booklets to flip through the Hui world while listening to it.
